Vora Terms of Use (EULA)

These Terms of Use form a legal agreement between you and Vora (“we”, “our”) covering your use of the Vora mobile app and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Vora is an AI English fluency coach. It connects you to AI tutors over a live voice call, transcribes what you say, and produces feedback on grammar, vocabulary, fluency, and pace. AI output can be inaccurate; Vora is a learning aid, not a certified language instructor or a substitute for professional teaching.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA/UK) to use Vora. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you must have a parent or guardian’s permission.

3. Your account

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including keeping your sign-in credentials safe. Tell us at support@vora.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Vora to break the law, harass others, or transmit hateful, sexual, violent, or unlawful content;
• attempt to reverse-engineer the app, scrape it, or interfere with its operation;
• circumvent usage limits, paywalls, or any technical protection measures;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity;
• upload anything you do not have the right to share.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.

5. Subscriptions, auto-renewal and free trials

Vora offers auto-renewing subscription plans (currently Spark weekly, Flow monthly, and Fluent monthly). Pricing is shown on the paywall before you confirm.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
• Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Manage or cancel any time in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period continues until its end date.
• Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled before then.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s standard refund policy. We do not process refunds directly; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Deleting your Vora account does not cancel an active Apple subscription. Cancel through iOS Settings first.

6. License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to install and use one copy of Vora on Apple-branded devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, and as further restricted by Apple’s standard EULA terms incorporated here by reference.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of the things you say during conversations. By using the Service you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to process that content as needed to operate, improve, and secure the Service (for example, generating transcripts and fluency reports, troubleshooting bugs).

8. Intellectual property

Vora, including its tutors, prompts, design, audio, and software, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works based on it except as the law permits.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI output will be accurate, complete, or free of errors.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Vora, its officers, employees, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Service.

12. Apple-specific terms

You and Vora acknowledge that:

• these Terms are entered into between you and Vora only — not Apple — and Vora alone is responsible for the Service;
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Service;
• Apple is not responsible for any product warranties; in the event of any failure to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, to the maximum extent permitted by law;
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the Service or your possession or use of it, including product-liability claims, claims that the Service fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims arising under consumer-protection or similar legislation;
• in the event of any third-party claim that the Service or your use infringes that third party’s intellectual-property rights, Vora — not Apple — is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of the claim;
• Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Courts located in Bengaluru, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where local consumer law gives you the right to bring claims in your home jurisdiction.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will post a revised version at this URL with a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
